About the Age Calculator

Find your exact age — or anyone's — on any date. Enter a date of birth and the calculator shows age in completed years, months and days, along with total months, weeks, days and hours lived.

It is useful for forms that ask for age on a specific date (such as job, admission or exam eligibility cut-off dates), for planning birthdays, or just out of curiosity.

How to use the Age Calculator

  1. Enter the date of birth.
  2. Leave Age on this date as today, or change it to a cut-off date (for example, the last date of an application).
  3. Press Calculate age.

Formula

The calculator counts whole calendar months from the date of birth, then the remaining days.

  • Completed years = whole months ÷ 12
  • Months = whole months remaining after years
  • Days = days from the last month anniversary to the target date

Months have different lengths, so it works with real calendar dates instead of assuming 30-day months. If someone was born on 29 February, their birthday is treated as 28 February in non-leap years.

Examples

  • Born 15 March 1995, age on 10 October 2026 → 31 years, 6 months, 25 days.
  • Born 31 January 2020, age on 1 March 2021 → 1 year, 1 month, 1 day (January 31 + 1 month is clamped to the last day of February).
