About the Square Feet Calculator
Work out the covered area of a house, the floor area of several rooms, or the size of a shop. Enter each room's length and width — in feet and inches, decimal feet or metres — and get the total in square feet, square metres, square yards and marla.

Formula
Area = length × width (inches ÷ 12 are added to feet). Totals: 1 m² = 10.7639 sq ft; 1 sq yd = 9 sq ft; 1 marla = 225 sq ft. Cost = total sq ft × rate.
Examples
- Rooms 12′ × 14′ (168 sq ft) and 10′ 6″ × 12′ (126 sq ft) → 294 sq ft = 27.31 m² = 1.31 marla.
Frequently asked questions
Is covered area the same as carpet area?
No. Covered area includes the walls; carpet area is only the usable floor inside. Measure inside rooms for carpet area.
How accurate is this estimate?
It is a planning estimate based on standard formulas. Actual quantities depend on workmanship, materials and site conditions, so confirm with your contractor before buying.
