Blur Image

Blur, pixelate or black out faces, CNIC numbers, number plates and other private details.

Runs in your browser — your data never leaves your device.

About the Blur Image

Before sharing a screenshot, a document photo or a picture of your car, hide what others should not see — a CNIC or account number, a face, an address or a number plate. Drag over each area and choose pixelate, blur or a solid black box.

The image is saved at its original size. For sensitive numbers, black box or strong pixelate is safest: they cannot be reversed.

How to use the Blur Image

  1. Choose or drop an image.
  2. Pick the effect and strength.
  3. Drag over each area you want to hide. Use Undo last if needed, or Whole image to blur everything.
  4. Click Download.

How it works

Pixelate shrinks the selected area to a few large blocks and enlarges it without smoothing. Blur uses the browser's Gaussian blur filter on the area (pixelation is used on browsers without it). Black box paints the area solid black. The saved file contains only the edited pixels.

Examples

  • A photo of a CNIC: black out the CNIC number and photo before sending it for a non-official purpose.
  • A street photo: pixelate faces and the car's number plate before posting.

Frequently asked questions

Is my photo uploaded?

No. The image is opened and edited in your browser and never leaves your device.

Can someone undo the blur?

The original pixels are replaced in the downloaded file. Light blur on short text can sometimes be guessed, so use black box or strong pixelate for numbers and names.
