CSV to JSON
Convert CSV (or Excel data) to JSON — objects or arrays, with automatic delimiter detection.
Runs in your browser — your data never leaves your device.
About the CSV to JSON
Turn spreadsheet data into JSON for an app, API or website. Paste CSV (or copy cells straight from Excel or Google Sheets — tab-separated data is detected), or open a .csv file.
Quoted values, commas and line breaks inside quotes are handled correctly, and the first row can become the object keys.
How to use the CSV to JSON
- Paste your CSV or click Open .csv file.
- Check the delimiter (detected automatically), output shape and options.
- Copy the JSON or download
data.json.
How it works
The CSV is parsed following RFC 4180: fields may be wrapped in double quotes, and "" inside quotes means one quote. With Convert numbers and true/false, values like 1500 become numbers and true becomes a boolean; everything else stays text.
Examples
name,amount/Ali,1500→ [{"name": "Ali", "amount": 1500}]"Khan, Sons",Lahorekeeps Khan, Sons as one value.
Frequently asked questions
Is my data sent to your server?
No. Everything runs in your browser, on your own device. Nothing you type, paste or choose is uploaded or stored.
Can I convert an Excel file directly?
Save it as CSV in Excel (File → Save As → CSV UTF-8), or simply copy the cells and paste them here.
