About the Marks Percentage Calculator

Admission forms and job applications often ask for your percentage. Enter your total obtained marks and total marks — or add each subject separately — and get the percentage with two decimals and the grade.

The grade uses the scale common on Pakistani boards (Matric / Intermediate): A+ for 80% and above, A 70–79, B 60–69, C 50–59, D 40–49, E 33–39, and F below 33.

How to use the Marks Percentage Calculator

  1. Choose Total marks or Subject-wise.
  2. Enter the marks obtained and the maximum marks (per subject in subject-wise mode — use Add subject for more).
  3. Click Calculate percentage.

Formula

Percentage = marks obtained ÷ total marks × 100.

In subject-wise mode, all obtained marks are added and divided by the sum of the maximum marks, and each subject's own percentage is shown too.

Examples

  • 850 out of 1100 → 77.27%, grade A.
  • 935 out of 1100 → 85%, grade A+.

Frequently asked questions

Is the grade scale the same for every board?

Most Pakistani boards use this scale, but universities and other countries may differ. Always follow the scale in your official instructions.

How should I round my percentage on forms?

Follow the form's instructions. If none are given, two decimals (for example 77.27%) is the usual practice.
