Split PDF

Extract pages from a PDF, split every page into its own file, or split into equal parts.

Runs in your browser — your data never leaves your device.

    About the Split PDF

Need only a few pages from a long PDF? Split PDF lets you pick exactly the pages you want, or break the document into many smaller files.

Three modes are available: Extract pages saves the pages you type as one new PDF; Every page separately creates one PDF per page; Equal parts splits the document into files with the same number of pages. Multiple files are bundled into a single ZIP download.

How to use the Split PDF

    1. Choose or drop one PDF file. The page count is shown.
    2. Pick a mode.
    3. For Extract pages, type pages such as 1-3, 5, 8-10. For Equal parts, enter the pages per file.
    4. Click Split PDF to download the result.

    How it works

Page ranges use the printed page numbers: 1-3 means pages 1, 2 and 3; 5 is a single page; 8- means page 8 to the end. Pages are copied exactly — no re-compression — into new documents created in your browser.

    Examples

    • From a 20-page bank statement, extract 1, 19-20 to send only the summary and last pages.
    • Split a 30-page scanned file into parts of 10 pages to meet a 3-file upload rule.

    Frequently asked questions

Are my PDF files uploaded to your server?

No. The PDF is opened and processed by your own browser. It never leaves your device, so it is safe to use with private documents.

Can I change the order of pages?

Yes. In Extract pages mode the pages are saved in the order you type them, so 3, 1, 2 puts page 3 first.

Why do I get a ZIP file?

When the result is more than one PDF, the files are packed into one ZIP so your browser does not have to download many files separately.
