Binary to Text

Decode binary (or hex, decimal, octal) bytes back into readable text.

Runs in your browser — your data never leaves your device.

About the Binary to Text

Paste binary code and read the hidden message. Bytes can be separated by spaces, commas or new lines — or written as one long string of 0s and 1s, which is split into 8-bit groups automatically.

Hex, decimal and octal bytes are supported too, and the bytes are decoded as UTF-8 so Urdu and emoji come out correctly.

How to use the Binary to Text

  1. Paste the binary (or choose hex, decimal or octal first).
  2. Read the decoded text and copy it.

How it works

Each group is read as a number in the chosen base (0–255) and the resulting bytes are decoded as UTF-8 text. Invalid digits or byte sequences are reported instead of producing garbage.

Examples

  • 01001000 01101001 → Hi
  • 0100100001101001 (no spaces) → Hi
  • Hex 57 45 → WE
