About the Image Color Picker

Found a colour you like in a photo, logo or screenshot? Open the image and click on it to get the exact colour code. The tool also finds the main colours of the whole picture — handy for matching a brand, a dress or a wall paint.

How to use the Image Color Picker

  1. Choose or drop an image.
  2. Click or tap anywhere on it to read that pixel's colour.
  3. Copy the HEX, RGB or HSL value, or click one of the main colours below.

How it works

The image is drawn on a canvas and the colour of the clicked pixel is read directly. Main colours are found by sampling the picture, grouping similar colours (16 levels per channel) and listing the largest distinct groups with their share of the image.

Examples

  • Click a logo's blue area → #0260A2, rgb(2, 96, 162).
  • A beach photo → main colours such as sky blue, sand beige and sea green with their percentages.

Frequently asked questions

Is my photo uploaded?

No. The image is opened and edited in your browser and never leaves your device.

Why is the colour slightly different from the original design?

JPG compression and screen colour profiles can shift colours a little. For exact brand colours, use the original design file.
