About the Ramadan Calendar (Sehri & Iftar)
A complete 30-day Ramadan timetable for your city — Sehri ends (Fajr) and Iftar (Maghrib) for each fast, with the date, weekday and length of the fast. During Ramadan, today's fast is highlighted with a countdown to Sehri or Iftar.
The start date is filled in from the Umm al-Qura calendar and can be changed once the moon is announced in Pakistan. Print it for the fridge or download it as a spreadsheet.
How to use the Ramadan Calendar (Sehri & Iftar)
- Choose your city, or tap Use my location.
- Check the first fast date and change it after the official moon announcement if needed.
- Optional: set precaution minutes (end Sehri a few minutes early, Iftar a minute after sunset).
- Print the timetable or Download CSV.
Formula
Times are calculated for each day from the sun's position at your city's latitude and longitude. Sehri ends at true dawn (Fajr): the sun 18° below the horizon (University of Islamic Sciences, Karachi). Iftar is at sunset (Maghrib). Precaution minutes are added if you choose them.
Examples
- Ramadan 1448 is expected to begin on 8 February 2027 (Umm al-Qura). In Lahore the first Sehri ends at about 5:28 am and Iftar is at about 5:43 pm.
- In Karachi on the same day: Sehri ends about 5:53 am, Iftar about 6:22 pm.
Frequently asked questions
Why are these times a few minutes different from my mosque's calendar?
Mosques often add precaution minutes. Use the precaution settings, and always follow your local mosque for Sehri and Iftar.
When does Ramadan start in Pakistan?
It starts after the moon is sighted by the Ruet-e-Hilal committee, often one day after Saudi Arabia. Change the first-fast date when it is announced.
Is the 30th fast always kept?
Only if the Shawwal moon is not seen on the evening of the 29th fast. The 30th row is marked with an asterisk.
